Privacy Policy

We value your privacy. This policy outlines exactly what trading data we collect, how we secure it, and your rights regarding your personal information while using ProfitPulse.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account via Google or X (Twitter), we collect basic identifiers such as your email address, name, and profile picture to authenticate you and manage your session.

1.2 Trading Data

We collect trade data that you manually input or upload via CSV files (e.g., from Tradovate or TradingView). This includes:

  • Trade entry and exit prices
  • Dates, times, and instrument symbols
  • Profit/Loss (P&L) figures
  • Custom notes, tags, and strategy labels you assign

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data exclusively to:

  • Provide the ProfitPulse service and its features (e.g., calculating equity curves, heatmaps, and win rates).
  • Maintain and improve the performance of our application.
  • Process subscription payments via our payment provider (Stripe).
  • Communicate with you regarding updates, security alerts, or support requests.

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal trading data to third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Security

We implement robust security measures to protect your data:

  • Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit (using TLS/SSL) and at rest within our database infrastructure (Google Firestore).
  • Authentication: We use secure OAuth providers (Google, X) to handle login credentials; we never see or store your passwords.
  • Access Control: Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel solely for the purpose of maintenance and support.

4. Sharing with Third Parties

We may share limited data with trusted third-party service providers solely to operate our service:

  • Stripe: To process payments (we do not store credit card details).
  • Google Firebase: To host our database and authentication services.

We may disclose data if required by law, such as in response to a subpoena or court order.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data and trading history for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, your data is removed from our live systems within a reasonable timeframe, though backups may persist for a short period for disaster recovery purposes.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: View the data we hold about you via your dashboard.
  • Export: Download your trade history in JSON format via the Settings page.
  • Delete: Request the deletion of your account and all associated data via the Settings page or by contacting support.
